    Ingredients
    1 avocado, peeled, seeded
    1/8 honeydew melon, cut into about 10 (1-inch) cubes
    1 banana, frozen
    1 kiwi, peeled
    1 cup baby spinach
    1 cup chopped green kale, stems removed
    1/2 cup low-fat milk (almond or soy will work)
    Directions
    Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth. Add additional milk for a thinner consistency, if desired.

    Fountain of Youth Shake
    Ingredients
    1 cup coconut water
    2-3 wheatgrass ice cubes (juice, fresh wheatgrass and freeze)
    2 handfuls of spinach
    3 pineapple spears
    1/2 lemon, peeled
    1 small green apple
    1 tbsp ginger
    Directions
    Pour all ingredients into a blender, blend to desired consistency, and enjoy!

    Cholesterol-Buster Shake
    Ingredients
    1½ cups low-fat vanilla soy milk
    ½ cup omega-3 enriched orange juice
    1 tablespoon almond butter
    1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
    1 cup sliced frozen strawberries
    1 cup frozen papaya
    1 tablespoon honey
    Instructions
    Garnish: chopped almonds sprinkled on top and a whole, fresh strawberry on the side of each glass.

    Spinach Mango Smoothie Recipe
    Ingredients
    1 Handful of Spinach
    1/2 Apple
    1/2 Cup Mango
    1 Stalk Celery
    3″ of Cucumber
    Juice of Half of a Lemon
    2 Cups Water
    Directions
    Add it all to a blender and blend it!

    FIVE BEAUTIFYING SMOOTHIE
    Ingredients:
    1 cup cleaned spinach leaves, firm packed
    1 cup cleaned kale, rough chop, firm packed
    1 cup green seedless grapes
    1 Bartlett pear, core, stem and seeds removed
    1 orange, peeled and quartered
    1 banana, peeled
    1 teaspoon chia seeds
    1⁄2 cup water
    2 cups ice
    Directions:
    Place all ingredients in blender and process on a low speed for 15 seconds, increase to medium, then high until well blended. Going green never tasted so good.

    Raw Cacao, Almond & Cinnamon Smoothie
    2 cups organic almond milk
    1 frozen banana
    2 tbsp organic raw almond butter
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    2 tsp coarsely ground flax seeds
    2 tbsp raw protein formula (cacao flavor from Garden of Life)
    2 tsp of raw cacao powder
    4-5 filtered ice cubes
    Other “skin” foods that you could toss into this smoothie include: chia seeds, coconut oil, kale, kiwi, and blueberries.

    Berry Blast/Natural Beauty Smoothie
    Ingredients:
    1 tsp. coconut oil
    1 frozen banana
    1-2 handful of berries
    1 handful of greens
    1 tbsp. pumpkin seeds
    1-2 cups of coconut water and/or pure filtered water
    1 tsp. chia seeds (soak in a small amount of water until it forms a ‘gel’ – approx. 15 minutes)
    1 tsp. acai berry powder
    1 tsp. maca powder
    Optional: 1 tsp. raw honey
    Method:
    Put all ingredients in the blender and serve in ice-cold glass. Enjoy

    Perfect Skin Smoothie
    Ingredients
    1/2 cup organic blueberries
    1 tbsp ground flax seeds
    1 cup organic dandelion greens
    1/2 avocado
    1 tbsp raw cacao powder
    1 cup coconut water
    Instructions
    1. Combine ingredients in Nutribullet. Add a touch of agave or stevia if needed.

    10. Choose filtered water as your base, or ring the changes with coconut water, almond milk, soy milk or half juice, half water. If you're not concerned about weight gain, then you can use whole juice.

    2. Ensure that all the utensils you are going to use, especially the blender goblet, are clean and have been rinsed in hot water to remove any remaining soap residue.
    3. Use only the very freshest ingredients, as close to the point of being harvested as possible.
    4. Buy from farmers' markets when you can, local small growers will have the best tasting choice of veggies and fruits, even if they don't always look supermarket perfect.
    5. Buy organic ingredients, not because they have more vitamins or minerals (although they may have) but because of what they don't have – chemical herbicides and pesticides and fertilizers.
    6. Before you blend them in an ordinary blender, most ingredients benefit from being cut into smaller chunks with a very sharp knife. Greens should be shredded, and veggies should be in cubes around one inch or less.
