This book is a brief life sketch, along with important events and teachings of Buddha so that sayings of Buddha are better understood and appreciated. Gautam Buddha?s teachings have been enshrined in Pali texts, and Pali language is said to have been the lingua Franca of the then masses. Buddha preached his philosophy and teachings in the sort of language, which most of people generally understood, as opposed to Sanskrit, which was a monopoly of only handful of Brahmins.
