Pastor Ralls was a man who walked in God’s Holy Spirit. Therefore, his poems are far more than just the insights of a great poet. In these writings, he reflects the heart of Father God calling to His children: Come unto to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. In these wonderful poems and their companion prose statements, the author answers some of the deepest longings of our souls. Those seeking faith and joy in God will find Him in this marvelous little book.
For more than fifty years, Pastor Richard Ralls labored as shepherd and teacher to congregations in southern, central, and northwest Oregon. He was a beloved servant of God and His people. His counsel, teaching, and preaching was truth spoken from God’s Word. A faithful husband, father, and friend, at his death on April 26, 2019, Pastor Ralls could say with the Apostle Paul, “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
