Fiery Romance

I glance around and notice Abe staring at Niko like she’s descended straight from heaven.

I don’t know what I did to deserve her, but I’m so freaking glad she stuck her nose in a place it didn’t belong and set my world ablaze.

“Sweetheart, you were talking about the renovations to your office and the desk for Amy.”

“Your Honor,” I face the judge, “I can testify to two truths in this courtroom today. The first is that Clay Bolton should keep his children. The second is that I am explicably, uncontrollably, and hopelessly in love with him.”

I’m in chocolate heaven, but that’s not the cause of my sudden brain freeze.

I press a hand to my chest as a horrific realization dawns.

This fluttering heart—

This heated pulse—

This irrational urge to be closer—
