This novel is essentially a treasure hunt in which four cousins from various parts of the Jorico family try to find the buried fortune mentioned in the will of Captain John Gregory Jorico. This man was a slave trader, and the hunt for his treasure leads them on a confusing journey. The novel is full of assorted characters; a good read for those who love a mystery and some adventure.
