If You Want to Have a Child, First Attend to Your Physical and Mental Health
In the 30 years since I’ve become a doctor, I’ve had the chance to meet quite a few couples who have struggled with infertility. I’ve noticed that all of them have had one thing in common: they have been so focused on getting pregnant that they have neglected the health of their body and mind. A child, after all, is the gift of God to a loving husband and wife, the fruit of a conjugal relationship. Those who engage in sexual intercourse with the sole intention of getting pregnant suffer from stress that ironically makes it more difficult to conceive. Couples hoping to have a beautiful and healthy baby must first pay attention to their body and soul.
