A friend of Adjunct Professor Reginald Meeks witnesses the professor's decline into crack addiction and despair. Reginald wants to be a good Adjunct Professor, but to supplement his income he works at his father's restaurant. It's a job he abhors. He falls for a white woman at the University, while his father matches him with a young crack addict named Bianca. Once the relationship between him and the white college student is over, he is forced to live with Bianca.
