A mighty enemy has arrived in the land of the Elves. He wishes to enslave everyone who lives there. If the Elves are going to survive, they will need both courage and hope.
Bramble wants to help in the fight against the enemies of the Elves. But Daisy does not think he is old enough. Bramble is not deterred. About the author

Peter Gotthardt was born in Denmark close to Copenhagen in 1946. As a child he loved to read, and spent much of his time reading his was through his local libraries collections of history and adventure books.

Gotthardt has written more than 60 books for children of which many are set within the realm of the Elves.

His aim was to enslave all the Elves. The Elves were filled with grief and anger. The enemy ravaged their beautiful land, and their freedom was at stake. Without hesitation, they fought back. They knew that they were fighting for the fate of the Elves.

          An eagle took flight from its nest high in the cliffs. On its majestic wings, it soared over a green valley, which lay hidden among high mountains.
