The Last Light

When the infection hit, Bentley, JD, Asher, and Collin were just four high school friends arguing about pizza toppings. Ninety-seven days later, they're the last survivors of a world consumed by an alien parasite that transforms humans into evolving monsters. This isn't a story about saving humanity—it's about watching it die. Brutal, unflinching, and relentlessly dark, THE LAST LIGHT is a tale of survival, friendship, and the horrifying truth that sometimes, the end is just the beginning of something worse.

This was actually AMAZING, like I completely recommend reading. I read the book because it had my name, and the description was interesting. I really like the gore factor in it, there's a lot of gore.

Why The Last Light Is My Favorite Book

The Last Light is my favorite book because it connects to both my imagination and my emotions in a powerful way. Even though it’s a story about the end of the world, it feels deeply human. The friendship between Bentley, JD, Asher, and Collin reminds me how important it is to hold on to the people you care about, even when everything else is falling apart. I also love how Cosh Gallki doesn’t sugarcoat anything—the book shows that sometimes life isn’t about winning or saving the world, but simply enduring. The mix of horror, emotion, and realism makes it unforgettable. It’s a story that stays in my mind long after I finish reading, and it makes me think about how I would face change, fear, and loss. That’s why The Last Light isn’t just a book I enjoyed—it’s one that genuinely moved me.
