Staying in a castle over Christmas is a dream come true for Anna and her seven-year-old son Freddie. But there's one thing Freddie wants more than anything, and it's the one thing Anna can't give him – a dad for Christmas. Or can she?
The castle tree is decorated, the mince pies bake in the oven and Anna settles into a slower pace of life. Soon Anna befriends village stalwart Dixie and a kindly cake shop owner called Lucy. When Anna meets the green-fingered Simon, it lights a spark powerful enough to keep the castle fires burning, but what is he hiding? Salt of the earth Luke is never far away, and charming castle manager Julius provides a welcome distraction – could one of them repair Anna's broken heart?
