World War II is past. The fight to relearn the old ways is a continuing fight. Roving gangs and slavers are still a never ending plague on the land. Duke and Lottie Stanley have done their best to be off the main paths to keep hid. But it hasn’t worked and they have had to run. Now they find themselves burned out and having to start over. They head back to their old home only to find themselves not wanted by his older brother and trouble is afoot with unknown criminals in their midst. Duke and Lottie must find who told of their whereabouts and find a way to stop the killing and robbery of their family and friends.
