Tommy Jenkins is new around town but quickly joins the ranks of a militarized group of kids known as the Suns. Using an organized system of teams, armed with water guns, water balloons, and even golf carts, the Suns spend their summers protecting their beloved park from a neighboring band of bullies. Tommy soon learns about teamwork, courage, and sacrifice as he is introduced to an elite group of kids who manage to get Tommy into one big wet mess.
Written by a veteran, the story presents a tamed look at the heroics and courage of battle, while providing the reader with a fun account that will inspire their own adventures.
