When you write about the future, the last thing you would imagine doing on a regular basis is looking backwards. The future is new and sexy. The future is where money is made and culture is shaped. The past is boring and backward.
When I first actively started writing about predictions for the future a little over six years ago — my ambition was small. All I wanted to do was understand the world of marketing and how it was being changed by technology. Since then, my vision has changed. It is no longer small, but it is still contained.
