As fourth grade ends for Mo, she has no idea what the summer holds for her. But when new neighbors move in two doors down, Mo notices June, a girl her own age, wondering if they may become friends.
Once the girls meet, they hit it off, bonding over a beautiful doll that catches Mo’s eye. Their friendship seems unbreakable but suddenly everything goes wrong and the doll is snatched out from under their noses one afternoon.
Mo feels terrible, hatching a plan to get June’s beloved doll back. Could the neighborhood bully, Billy Bunker, really have stolen her? When Mo has another crazy idea, June isn’t quite so sure, being much more reserved than Mo.
