Limbo is a place where lost, confused souls go, and becomes the meeting place of three disparate characters await God's judgment for their suicides. A nun, Sister Margaret, who failed to save a baby from her homicidal mother, took her life over psychological torment and guilt. Next is a handsome, virile young bank executive, Michael, who killed himself after witnessing his fiancée's horrible death in a driving accident, thus becoming mentally disturbed ending in his eventual suicide. Lastly, is a beautiful blonde socialite, Daphne, who comes from a very wealthy, inbred family whose eccentricities include nefarious sexual perversions and kills herself after a very debauched life. In this five-act scene, thought provoking play, it is shown how these characters vie their place in heaven and let God ultimately become the judge whether or not their souls would stay in Limbo forever.
