With the desire to keep the “Children First,” and to do better for each child, the Greencastle-Antrim School District set out to completely transform and expand their school system. First Choice: Changing the Habits of Education follows the 8-year journey through a brief history and 8 letters that were sent to the faculty and community each year. The goal was to continually break bad habits and instill better ones, and to ensure that each child had the customized learning experience that they needed-so they could readily achieve their “first choice” in education and in life beyond the
classroom.
