“The Disintegration Machine” is a science fiction short story by British writer Arthur Conan Doyle. It was first published in The Strand Magazine in January 1929. The story centers on the discovery of a machine capable of disintegrating objects and reforming them as they were.
Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle KStJ DL was a British writer and medical doctor. He created the character Sherlock Holmes in 1887 when he published A Study in Scarlet, the first of four novels and more than fifty short stories about Holmes and Dr. Watson.
