There is no power in man that can avail the grace of God. No change can be accomplished with the flesh without the outpouring of the Spirit. You will not see the people of the world bearing the cross of Christ, just a select few who are willing to censure their body, bringing it into control, avoiding recognition for service, willingly suffering rebuke, and desiring no prosperity from this world. We are in a contest with God to see who can give the most, and the more we give of ourselves to others the more God gives to us. If we will just trust in the Lord, courage will be given us from heaven, and the world with its vile lust for the flesh will be put under the control of our will.
