I met Michael Jackson once, in 1982, while working on the music video for “Billie Jean.” He was quite personable, and incredibly nice to everyone on set. But the thing that impressed me most about him was this: he was a professional. Every move he made was intentional. He demanded perfection, but was never cocky or arrogant. He listened to others, but all the moves were 100 percent Michael.

At the time, Michael was already a legend. From the 11 year-old boy belting out songs on The Ed Sullivan Show to the disco smash hit “Rock with You,” Michael's voice and image were known world-wide. However, his image was about to change, both literally and figuratively.

Quotes

  • Larisa Belkinahas quoted8 years ago
"In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe."
