I have postponed discussing faith because grief happens to all of us, regardless of our faith or lack thereof. I didn’t want to turn people off by getting all “churchy” right off the bat. However, I personally cannot say enough about how my faith in a loving Father in heaven has kept me sane and alive throughout the ordeal.

If I could make a suggestion, try to find a councilor that relates to your personal philosophy. Their job is to figure out how to help you through this troubling time. In a way, they are trying to get you back to some semblance of normalcy, but it helps if they understand what normal is.
