Honesty is a good policy, but there’s such a thing as TMI (Too Much Information). Telling too much too soon takes all the mystery out of a relationship, and can easily overload someone. Whether it’s a friend or lover, never tell too much too soon. Getting it all out may seem like a relief that will give you a clean slate, but it can be overwhelming to the point of driving people away. Even in the case of positive qualities, it’s good to have wonderful little tidbits you can release over time to remind people why you’re so amazing. Save something for later and they’ll stay intrigued and want to know more.
