Would you trade everything you knew for a new life? These are the words that propel 18 year- old Hadley Phillips out of her small-town life – and a possible murder charge – to bring her to the dazzling lights of Las Vegas. Hadley becomes a participant in a contest that promises only this tantalizing tidbit: we can take you out of your life and give you a new one. Upon her arrival, Hadley meets the four beautiful and mysterious twenty- somethings who are running the contest, and is immediately drawn into their world, replete with seemingly endless resources. She becomes fascinated by their dynamic, striking up a romance with the dangerous Jesper, but the more time she spends in this dazzling Vegas world, the more convinced she becomes that not all is as it seems: these people are far from normal, and definitely dangerous. All the while, she must undergo a series of physical, intellectual, and emotional trials that measure every aspect of character, while trying to beat a daunting crew of competitors, whom she is becoming closer to with every passing day. Though she fears the unknown at the end of the competition, Hadley knows that she cannot lose the contest and return to her old life. With every passing day, she comes to fear that before she will be able to decide what to do, the choice will be made for her by the mysterious people whose secret she must uncover before it's too late.
