The dawn of new technology has led to a proliferation of information in various ways. People across the globe are able to express their views in a myriad of ways for the whole world to see. One such way is to use the social media site called Twitter. Twitter is a popular social media website which allows people to make their views known (called tweets) in no more than 140 characters. Though a small number of characters may not seem, great information has been conveyed and great damage has been done within this limit. Celebrities and politicians have made headlines in some instances with their tweets which have turned many heads. Although we can go on for eons as it relates to outrageous tweets by celebrities and politicians, this article will only focus on fifty of those tweets.
We will start with Joan Rivers the beloved Fashion Police host, who tweeted: “That one armed surfer girl is engaged! Her boyfriend must have asked her father for her other hand in marriage.”
