Most people only know one London; but what if there were several? Kell is one of the last Travelers—magicians with a rare ability to travel between parallel Londons. There's Grey London, dirty and crowded and without magic, home to the mad king George III. There's Red London, where life and magic are revered. Then, White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne. But once upon a time, there was Black London…

    👍Worth reading

This book felt like a cold breeze on unusually warm day. So refreshing but turbulent and you know something is stirring. I love how it's a small adventure and there isn't too much details in description but enough to create these magical things up in your head. I really enjoyed reading it and at some point I dropped it since I didn't want to finish it, I was too sad to finish it but the crescendo at the end made it worth reading if not rereading.
Definetly would recommend it to people who find this gener interesting!

    🚀Unputdownable

The way V. E. Schwab handles her lore in this is absolutely spectacular. Great world-building and character-building skills, loved every second of it. Immediately got part 2 and 3 of the trilogy after finishing this one. (read as a paperback)

Quotes

The prince ended nearly every sentence with a period. Even the questions. Rhy was the same way, and Kell thought it must simply be a by-product of never being told no.

I’m not bitter,” grumbled Parrish back. “I’m broke.”
