An orphaned wild duckling tells the true story of how he goes searching for his mother after breaking free from his shell and finding himself alone. Instead of finding his mother, the plucky little fellow encounters a kindly lady who adopts him and looks after him. In spite of experiencing many challenges, the dandy duckling had fun growing up on Aunt Nell's acreage, or at least, he does, until his heart hears a strange and tantalizing eerie call.
