Meet Mavis Boothroyd and the crew of her fine vessel the 'Mavis D'. A jaunt around the Compass Bar at the Heathrow Hotel introduces The Owner, Master, Chief Engineer thru the ranks to the Ordinary Seaman including a couple of well seasoned wives. Each of these crew members telling true stories of rather unusual pursuits which the author was on most occasions the principal character. Circumstance and name aside, integrity has prevailed where after all is said and done “you can't make this shit up!”
