The first edition of this book contained a number of brief articles about the end times. This edition is no different in intent. The basic difference is that the second edition includes articles that are associated with events more applicable to the present time.
Similar to technology becoming obsolete very quickly after production, those articles are subject to become less relevant the longer they are from the events they describe. Still, there is something to be learned from them, and that is society's almost wholesale acceptance of cultural changes that it would not have accepted just a few years earlier.
The fact of the matter is that many of these cultural changes push modern humanity farther from God. From a spiritual and scriptural viewpoint, the changes are mostly negative. Time itself is not kind to humanity, for time seems to be a great separator between God and the mass of human kind.
This estrangement will soon reach the point where God will intervene, and such intervention will be the removal of His church from this planet. Paul wrote to Titus telling him this removal is our Blessed Hope, and that great truth seems to carry more significance today than ever before.
