A thief robs with a cause in mind;
they take what they want without caring whether you may need it more than them.
There are old lovers who are greater thieves, robbing people of their pure love and hearts full of good intentions, only to put them on a plate of bragging rights for their egos to feast on.

How does someone find it easy to live life smiling after having hurt the soul of someone who only offered them love?

How does piercing someone’s heart, walking away, and leaving them to drown in their blood not count as attempted murder?

There goes anger,
joining regret to do a better job at overtaking your soul and making a bed out of misery for you to lie in.

I am sorry that it’s becoming harder to find the best in you.

I am sorry that they’ve helped you find the worst in you.

It’s okay to be disappointed. It’s frustrating when you play the fool, but it’s not okay to give birth to the fear of disappointment that will rob you of a life of love and loving life.
