Repentance

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that when a servant of Allah commits a sin, the angel is told to withhold the pen for six hours. The angel does not write it down.

“The greatest punishment from Allah for a sin is that He allows you to sin again.”

Shaytan is very clever. If he cannot corrupt you through your bad deeds, he will corrupt you through your good deeds. When you think of sin, you think of evil. But if shaytan cannot get you with desires, or sins, or very clear evil, he comes to your good deeds on your right side – your prayer, knowledge, and so on – and then he corrupts those and turns it into arrogance and pride and all of the things that can stemmed out of doing good deeds and he ruins you there.
