Paul Hawkins is an English comedy writer and illustrator, living in Germany. His background is mostly in film, where he has written script reports, magazine features, short films, and broken an industry record for falling asleep on set in the role of Script Supervisor. Since then, his life-long pilgrimage to avoid a 'proper' job has bought him to the Holy Mecca of Delayed Responsibility: Berlin. He is the co-author of the Spiegel best-selling book Denglisch for Better Knowers, and author of 'How to Operate a Human'/'Gebrauchsanleitung Mensch', and 'How to be an Adult'/'Erwachsen werden für Anfänger' (to be published 2015).
