Richard Trudgen

Richard Trudgen was born in Orange NSW Australia, trained as a fitter and turner; went to Arnhem Land 1973 for one year’s voluntary work with Yol?u people. Stayed for 37 years, learnt language and trained in community development work. Was CEO of ARDS Inc for 10 years; developed discovery education methodology with the people and established Yol?u Radio in 2003. Today runs ‘Bridging the Gap’ seminars training workshops and does conferencing speaking while still working with Yol?u people. Wants to continue producing educational experiences and material for Yol?u people on Yol?u Radio while building an e-learning school using both the peoples own language and English so Yol?u children and adults have access to a schooling system that works; one they can access anywhere.
