The way that you purify your soul the most is by connecting it to Allah (glorified and exalted is He) as its Greatest Observer.

Taqwa is to be conscious of the sight of Allah upon you, so that you are ashamed to disobey Allah (glorified and exalted is He) in private or in public with minor or major sins.
