GWENDOLYN WOMACK grew up in Houston, Texas. She studied theatre at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, and then moved to California, where she received an MFA in Directing Theater, Video, and Cinema at the California Institute of the Arts and was a semi-finalist for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’s prestigious Nicholl Fellowship.
