Patricia Rice is a bestselling American author of historical and contemporary romance. Her romances have won numerous awards, including the RT Book Reviews Reviewers Choice and Career Achievement Awards.
She also writes urban fantasy under the pen name Jamie Quaid.
Patricia Rice began writing in the 1980s. She is best known as the creator and author of the fictional series Dark Lords and Dangerous Ladies.
With several million books in print and New York Times and USA Today's bestseller lists under her belt, former CPA Patricia Rice still writes emotionally-charged romances with some paranormals and romantic mysteries.
"I enjoy writing contemporary fiction simply because I can play with topics that weren’t relevant to women in historical eras. It’s rather difficult to have a woman in Regency England kick a serious male butt and still write romance. But set that woman loose in California of today… I can have lots of fun," says the novelist.
Rice is a member of Romance Writers of America, the Authors Guild, Novelists, Inc., and BVC Publishing Cooperative.
Patricia Rice is married and has two children. She currently resides in Southern California.
