Stephen Michell

Stephen Michell is a Canadian narrative-driven author and editor based out of Toronto. The novel Only the Devil Is Here (2017) is his debut.

Stephen Michell received a MA in English literature from the University of Guelph. His writing has appeared in The Good Men Project and in the Exile Editions speculative fiction anthology Those Who Make Us, with his story As Worlds Collide. He has also written many entertainment reviews for Step On Magazine.

Only the Devil Is Here is a dark horror about the kidnapped from his foster home, six-year-old Evan. The boy discovers he has mysterious, magical powers but doesn't know how to control them. In parallel, his brutal kidnapper also has supernatural powers.

In 2022 Stephen Michell started working in the animation industry.
