He is the author of On the Condition of Anonymity: Unnamed Sources and the Battle for Journalism (University of Illinois Press, 2012) and Journalistic Authority: Legitimating News in the Digital Era (Columbia, 2017). He is also the co-editor of Boundaries of Journalism: Professionalism, Practices, and Participation (Routledge, 2015). I selected him for his work on contemporary journalistic standards and values.
