As an author I what I want most for the reader is to tell a great story, to entertain; what I want most for myself is to participate in that literary world I love so much.My background is that I am from a large, tightly-knit family, am a Chicago-area native, studied English as an undergraduate but proceeded to medical school, have served in the Navy for over two decades as a surgeon, and most importantly have been a family man.
