A Veteran of the Cold War, Warren Martin served 21-years in the United States Army and has blended his knowledge and experiences with imagination and historical events to create an exciting and compelling Cold War Mystery. Warren was born in Baltimore Maryland in 1956. His father Sam was from the Front Royal area of Virginia and was in the Army, stationed in England when he met Warren’s mother Agnes who was from Ireland. His parents divorced in 1962 and Agnes returned to Ireland taking Warren with her where they lived in the Kilkenny County area until 1966. In 1966 Warren returned to the New York City with his mother, and although his parents remained divorced he was reunited with his father. Warren attended St. Stephens of Hungary Elementary School and Power Memorial Academy High School where he was known by many as “Irish” and “Marty.” He ran track on his High School Championship Track Team while also taking Taekwondo Karate at Moon Su Lee Karate School in Astoria, and working as a delivery boy for D'Agostino Supermarket at Lexington and 75th in Manhattan. In 1975 Warren joined the Army, met his wife Debbie, had three children and traveled extensively as a military family. While in the Army Warren served in the Infantry, Military Police and the majority of his career in Special Forces. After retiring from the Army Warren transitioned into business and worked for Domino’s Pizza as a Regional Manager in Seattle, Philadelphia, and later became a Domino’s Pizza Franchisee. Warren has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New York, an MBA from the University of Michigan-Flint, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Business and Organizational Leadership.
