Liz Evers is an Ireland writer and editor who has worked in the publishing industry for many years and is the author of several popular reference books on diverse subjects, from Shakespeare to horology.
Liz Evers graduated from University College Dublin (BA, English Lit) and Dublin City University (MA, Film & Television Studies).
Her books include the history title Irish Lives in America with Niav Gallagher (2021), To Be or Not to Be: A Celebration of Shakespeare's 400-year Legacy (2015), Here Comes a Chopper to Chop Off Your Head (2014) which explores the dark histories of childhood fairy tales and rhymes, and It's About Time (2013), a potted history of timekeeping.
In 2018 She was also a contributor to the Dictionary of Irish Biography as a researcher and project copy editor.
Originally from Dublin, Liz Evers lived and worked in London for a few years and now resides in a small town in north Roscommon in the west of Ireland.
She is the author of the Ballyer Backyard blog, where she writes about how to grow organic vegetables in an Irish Country Garden.
