Ryan Keyes works as a recreation therapist at the Grand Junction Veterans Administration Medical Center. He works directly with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing to provide therapeutic fly fishing and fly tying opportunities for disabled veterans. Ryan’s love for fly fishing began in the San Juan Mountains where he spent the majority of his time untangling knots and retrieving his flies from trees. When not working full time at the VA, he spends his time designing innovative fly patterns and tying commercially for local fly shops in Colorado.
