Sandi Cayless was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, and writes science fiction and poetry. With four degrees and penchants for dry humour, coffee and chocolate, her fields of work and related research papers have included microbiology, public health engineering, paleopalynology and health. In her spare time she makes the tea for her local astronomy society, sings badly in a local singing group and likes to dig holes in her garden, just in case something interesting turns up.
