Gene Lewis

Gene Lewis has been riding - and writing - for over forty years. In 1975 he experienced the unforgettable exhilaration of traveling solo around the country on a Triumph Trident witnessing America and freedom at its best. Gene is a proud veteran (Air Force - ‘68 to ‘73) who holds in esteem all those who have served in peacetime or war. Currently a retired university professor he previously taught technology in a business school - an interesting irony in light of the story’s disconcerting messages about materialism and technology. “A Run Up The Coast” is a story about courage to find a new way of life. It’s about a struggle against overwhelming odds to find freedom - and the self discovery that occurs along the journey. Gene offers this story to promote his belief that “Freedom Is Not An Illusion!”.
