Georgi Bond

After growing up at boarding school in rural Devon, Georgi studied archaeology and conducted postgraduate research at Durham University. She then embarked on a writing career, starting out as a technical writer for a top software company in Newcastle.Seeking a more creative environment, she sidestepped into the vibrant world of marketing, working for an event marketing company in London.Ready for a new challenge, she then spent six years working as a copywriter for an international marketing agency in Moscow, learning to speak Russian during this time. When her husband was relocated to Johannesburg, she worked there as a freelance copy editor, whilst also taking the opportunity to explore South Africa.In 2005 she settled in Riga, where she built a house, started a family and currently works as a part-time copywriter and content writer.Throughout her career, Georgi has held on to her childhood dream of writing a novel, and has spent the past few years learning the craft of fiction writing. In her debut novel, Wide Awake in the Dreamscape, she combines her passion for the fantasy genre with her experience as a writer, to deliver a thrilling and thoroughly modern children’s adventure
