Elaine Waldorf Gewirtz

Elaine Waldorf Gewirtz is the author of eight dog books and has written magazine articles on dog behavior, care, health, and training for Dog Fancy, Dog World, The AKC Gazette, and other magazines. A member of the Dog Writers� Association of America (DWAA), the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and the Independent Writers of Southern California, Gewirtz is a multiple recipient of the prestigious DWAA Maxwell Award, the ASPCA Humane Issues Writing Award, and the Hartz Mountain Glamour Doggie Award for outstanding articles. A breeder of top show Dalmatians for 20 years, Gewirtz has lived with several breeds all of her life.
