Maryann Cocca-Leffler

Author-Illustrator Maryann Cocca-Leffler has been a story teller since way back. She told her second grade classmates that her father owned the “Coca-Cola” company (he didn’t.) That teeny tiny lie was the idea behind her book, "Princess K.I.M. and the Lie That Grew" and it's sequel "Princess Kim and Too Much Truth" (Albert Whitman 2009/11). These two books have inspired the play- PRINCESS K.I.M. The Musical (www.princesskimthemusical.com), which is currently in production!Maryann grew up in a big Italian family in the Boston area, which is depicted in her popular book "Bus Route To Boston" (Boyds Mills Press). Other books include the Mr. Tanen's Ties series (AW), Let it Fall, Let it Snow and the upcoming Let it Rain & Let it Shine (Scholastic) The author-illustrator, a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, has published over 45 books for children. Maryann lives with her family in NH.
