Varsha Seshan

Varsha Seshan is a writer, dancer and teacher. She is currently working on a series of books on trains in India. These are tales of adventure and excitement, set in the enchanting world of the Indian Railways. They will be available in the coming months at the National Railway Museum in Delhi.Varsha is also the author of The Story-Catcher, a collection of short stories for children. The Story-Catcher has been on the publisher’s bestselling list since May 2013 and is the second runner-up for the “Parents and Kids Choice Awards 2014”. Varsha has been writing stories for a long time and has published over 25 stories for children in a Pune-based newspaper. Her debut in children’s publishing came in 2010 when her short-story “The Nationals” was published in Puffin’s anthology, Let’s Play! She has also had a few pieces for older readers published, including a personal narrative “The Caravan of the Cultures of the World” and two short stories “Sacrifice” and “Ethics”.Varsha facilitates workshops for children at St. Mary’s School, British Library, JustBooks, The Cultural Centre, etc., and for teachers with the publisher Ratna Sagar. She is also a dancer, with over 20 years of training in Bharatanatyam.
