Anthony Uchenna Azubuike

Anthony Uchenna Azubuike is a Nigerian pastor, teacher and author known for his contributions to Christian ministry and literature. Born and raised in the commercial city of Aba in Abia State, Nigeria, he grew up in a devout Christian family with a lineage of dedicated pastors. He embraced Christianity early, laying the foundation for his future ministry.

Anthony Uchenna Azubuike studied theology at various evangelical institutions, beginning with the Samuel Bill Theological College in Abak, Nigeria (1996–1998), where he graduated with a diploma in theology. His desire for further learning led him to study at other prestigious institutions, including William Wheatley Theological College in Umuahia and Peter Achimugu College of Theology in Ankpa.

He later pursued advanced theological studies at the London School of Theology (2012–2014) and Middlesex University in England, obtaining a Bachelor of Divinity (First Class Honours), a Master of Divinity in Exegetical Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Theological Education.

For over 35 years, Reverend Azubuike has served various branches of the United Evangelical Church in cities such as Aba, Lagos and Abuja. He also devoted part of his career to teaching and training future pastors at the William Wheatley Theological College.

His leadership extended to serving as Secretary of the National Reverend Ministers Forum of the United Evangelical Church for eight years, where he organised national retreats for pastors.

Azubuike's latest book, Daughters of Hope (2024), explores the harrowing experiences of two sisters, Adanna and Chioma, as they travel from Nigeria to Europe for a better life. Themes of resilience, family ties and the impact of deception mark the story. The novel has been praised for vividly portraying the character's struggles and the emotional toll of their journey.

Azubuike's earlier works include his theological writings and teachings, but Daughters of Hope is a powerful narrative that sheds light on social issues and human resilience.

Today, Anthony Uchenna Azubuike continues his mission and literary work from Abuja, Nigeria.
