Theresa Cheung is a British author and spiritual expert known for her work on dreams, the paranormal and the afterlife. With over 25 years of experience in the field, she has written several international bestsellers, including Dream Dictionary from A to Z (2006). Her writings have been translated into over 40 languages.
Her latest book, Haunted World (2024), explores 101 of the world's most mysterious hauntings and examines the science behind our fascination with ghosts.
Cheung holds a degree in Theology and English from King's College, Cambridge, and her career has focused on exploring the transformative power of spirituality and the unseen forces in our lives.
"I believe that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience," she has said, reflecting her deep commitment to understanding the mystical elements of existence.
Her breakthrough came with the publication of Dream Dictionary from A to Z (HarperCollins, 2006), which remains a classic reference in dream interpretation. This book established her as the "Queen of Dreams" and brought her into the public eye as a leading voice in understanding the subconscious. Since then, Cheung has appeared frequently in the media, including This Morning, BBC Radio 2 and Coast to Coast AM, sharing her knowledge of dream interpretation and spiritual phenomena.
In addition to her work on dreams, Cheung has collaborated with leading scientists and neuroscientists to explore the frontiers of consciousness. Her partnership with researchers has helped bridge the gap between spirituality and science, particularly in studying the afterlife and paranormal experiences.
She is a regular speaker at spiritual workshops and has co-hosted events such as the 2022 Dream Work Summit for The Shift Network. In 2023, she was named one of the world's 100 most spiritually influential people.
Her latest book, Haunted World (2024), is a collection of 101 ghost stories that explore the global fascination with hauntings. Cheung explores the science of paranormal activity and offers insights into residual, poltergeist, inhuman and intelligent hauntings.
The book also provides practical ghost-hunting tips and explores the connection between personal ghost stories and modern parapsychology. "Belief in ghosts is surprisingly widespread worldwide," writes Cheung, "and the pandemic has only increased interest in the paranormal.
