Roger White was born in Bushey, Hertfordshire near London, England in 1949. His family immigrated to Canada in 1953. After graduating with a community college journalism diploma, he worked as a reporter and editor on weekly and daily newspapers including the Etobicoke Advertiser-Guardian, the Peterborough Examiner, the Guelph Daily Mercury and the Toronto Sun. He joined the federal government in 1978, working in public affairs/communications both in Toronto and Ottawa.After leaving government in 1998, White worked as a communications consultant, speechwriter and media relations trainer. He and his wife, Nancy, live in Ottawa where they are staff for a cat named Watson. White enjoys reading, travel, golf to a certain extent, and tinkering with old cars.Tight Corner is his first novel. He is currently working on the second in the Capital Crime series.
