Adrienne Kress

Adrienne Kress is a Canadian actor and author. She is the author of the award-winning and internationally published children’s novels Alex and the Ironic Gentleman (2007) and Timothy and the Dragon’s Gate (2008).

Рук debut book won the Heart of Hawick Children's Book Award in the UK and was nominated for the Red Cedar in Canada. According to the press, the film rights to Alex and the Ironic Gentleman have been bought by The Weinstein Company.

Adrienne Kress was born in Toronto. She has an honors BA in theatre from the University of Toronto. Later Kress is a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts post-graduate classical acting program in the UK.

Her debut YA story, the Steampunk adventure The Friday Society, launched in 2012. She has also published several young adult novels: Outcast (2013), her quirky paranormal romance, and Hatter Madigan: Ghost in the H.A.T.B.O.X. (2016), an exciting collaboration with New York Times bestselling author Frank Beddor.

Most recently, she completed her absurdist adventure trilogy, The Explorers (2017–2019), and authored the horror Dreams Come To Life (2019), based in the world of the Bendy and the Ink Machine video game.

Additionally, she wrote, produced, and directed the play A Weekend in the Country for both the Summerworks Festival in Toronto and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Some of her recent TV/Film acting credits include the horror flicks Neverknock (SyFy), The Devil’s Mile (Grover’s Mill) and Wolves (directed by David Hayter), and the television shows American Gods (Starz) and Lost Girl (SyFy).
